International Day of Faith - November 17, 2013 – Nazareth, ISRAEL

On behalf of the Israel Ministry of Tourism and in collaboration with the Italian Bishops Conference (CEI), we are pleased to announce the International Day of Faith in the Holy Land, which will be held on Mount Precipice, Nazareth on Sunday, November 17, 2013.

We expect thousands of pilgrims from around the world to come participate in this landmark event.

The Year of Faith, which was declared with Pope Benedict XVI’s Apostolic Letter of October 11, 2011, began on October 11, 2012 and has been an opportunity for all Catholics to rediscover a journey of faith. Click here to read more.

GENERAL PLAN

The closing event for the Year of Faith in the Holy Land, The International Day of Faith, will take place on Mount Precipice on November 17, 2013. 
 
The event will begin at 9 a.m. and run through 1:00 p.m.
 
The mountain entrance gates will be opened at 8:00 a.m.
 
On the program:
 
9:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.: Artistic program - liturgy and chants from various choirs of the local Catholic communities.
 
11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Mass to be held by senior religious figures - the Latin Patriarch of the Holy Land, Bishop of Galilee and an esteemed figure
from the Vatican.
 
The event will conclude with a festive grand happening, with local businesses offering food, drinks and souvenirs on the mountain.
