Behold the Man: Jesus in Israeli Art

This exhibition tracks the appearance of meaningful and multi-faced phenomena of the image of Jesus Christ in Israeli art. The exhibition presents the changes emerged in the attitude towards the image of Jesus in Jewish art since the 19th century and until today.

It follows both Jewish artist that worked abroad, Zionist artists and modern Israeli artists.

Featured artists include Ephraim Moses Lilien, Reuven Rubin, Igael Tumarkin, Moshe Gershuni, Motti Mizrahi, Efrat Natan, Joshua Borkovski, and Adi Ness.

The exhibition will take place in the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, and is now open for visitors.
